Hike 37: 7 Falls Trail
This hike was quite long! This hike was about 8 miles out and back, and about 1800 feet elevation. When we started out, we hiked through this canyon filled with giant saguaro cacti. I really felt close to Dad in the beginning of this hike …this was the kind of thing he would have loved to do.
After hiking about 2 miles to the trailhead, we were ready to begin!
Little did we know that “7 falls” also meant 7 creek crossings. Soon the trail changed from a true trail to a slight outline of a trail among fields of boulders. It was challenging to say the least!
Once we were back to the trailhead, we were lucky enough to catch a shuttle back to the parking lot…we brought seven liters of water and drank it all! Never underestimate the desert.
