What is Hikes with Dad?

Hikes With Dad is a 52-hike challenge fundraiser in memory of my dad, Stan Dodd, who passed away from metastatic skin cancer on August 18th, 2019.

My dad, Stan, loved to hike, but more than that, he loved to share his hikes with others. It was a common sight on a hike, to see Stan pointing to various rock formations and explaining the geology behind them, or talking about the history of a particular ranger outpost, or old logging trail. It seemed fitting to me, to carry this legacy forward in the form of this fundraiser.

All proceeds will go to general curative research at the Fred Hutch cancer research center. To make a donation, please go here: http://engage.fredhutch.org/goto/hikes-with-dad. All payments are handled directly through Fred Hutch, so you can be sure that 100% of your money will go to finding a cure. For more information and background on this fundraiser, please see our FAQ section.

In the “Hikes,” section, I will post recaps of the hikes that I embark on as part of this challenge, bios of any guest hikers, and photographs of these hikes.

Thank you in advance for donating, and happy trails!
